Obligatory Merry Christmas Post!

For those who celebrate it, I hope you are having a merry Christmas today! And for those who don't, I hope you are having a merry December 25 (and hopefully enjoying a break from school and work)! I will be spending the day with family, being lazy for the holidays and enjoying good food, good company, and the good feeling of not having to do anything of importance and not feeling bad about it.

See you on the other side of Christmas Day! ♥

Hey Hey, It (Was) Knishmas!

Art by doujin circle getsumen-spiral.
So yesterday was Christmas and I'm sure many otaku's dreams were made true with what they found under the tree (or wherever Madokami dropped their gifts this year). Perhaps you spent your Christmas watching anime or drinking with friends or pretending to enjoy the company of your extended family or fighting robots in Tokyo. Personally, I spent yesterday playing Pokemon on the DS and watching Adventure Time and Mel Brooks films - because why have a traditional Christmas if it's not gonna be fun, right?

I've got a picture of my Christmas loot here - funny enough, the only anime-related item I got was Pokemon Black for DS, which I've since started and geez. Three-on-three battles? The Pokemon Center and Mart have merged? First battle of the game is in your bedroom? And it wouldn't be Pokemon without a crazy cult of villain types determined to change the Pokemon world, usually for the worst. And I've met N, who seemed to be Pokemon fandom's personal favorite for the longest time.

Share what you got for Christmas/Giftmas in the comments! Bonus if you provide pics :)

Happy Holidays From Nagareboshi Reviews

Hopefully, you are spending today in the company of your loved ones, eating delicious food and watching corny holiday films (or anime!). If you receive gifts today, may they all be quality and of the otaku variety! Speaking of which, share what you got in comments! Personally, my swag included Black Blood Brothers and season 2 of Dollhouse on DVD, a vanishing TARDIS mug, Genshiken Season 2 GN 1, and an extremely detailed guide on the TV series M*A*S*H. Not that it's all about presents, mind you!

Blog Wishes You A Merry Christmas!

Or Hannukah, or Kwanzaa, or Festivus, or whatever y'all choose to celebrate. Sorry for the lack of holiday-related posts lately; next year, I'll be better at realizing what time of year it is and post accordingly. Maybe even review some holiday-related anime and manga? If it's what the people want, of course.

I hope everyone has an awesome Christmas (or whatever) tomorrow! I know I'll be spending the entire day with family, watching A Christmas Story over - and over - and over - until the Doctor Who Christmas special comes on, and then I'll watch that like three times more before I pass out from a glut of turkey and eggnog. And hopefully y'all have fun doing whatever y'all do during the holiday, whether it is sleeping until noon or going out for Chinese or spending the entire day in front of the computer marathoning Natsume Yuujinchou (which no one would fault you for, it is amazing).

Just wanted to say how much I love all of my followers, whether you read me directly on the blog or via Google Reader or an RSS feed via a different site. You guys and your support keep this blog going and give me a reason to keep doing this silly thing for no money and not much publicity. Plus, the occasional comment from you folks always makes me day, so keep doing that next year, okay? ♥

Okay, now that I've showered you with love, have a reason to hate my guts. Enjoy that special Christmas classic, Itsudatte My Santa!, below. It's the English dub, too! 'Tis the season to be a terrible troll, after all.
