Yes, let us look back at the year 2008, in which I apparently decided that the hentai OVA Zero no Mono needed a review on MyAnimeList, everyone's favorite anime website. Right? Anyway, it remains the only review I've bothered to write on MAL, mainly because at that time the compartmentalized style of review was mandatory and it's a pain in the butt to follow. So, let's take a jaunty trip to over six years ago and see what scintillating thoughts I could delve up on Zero no Mono and it's semen jar fixation.

("Is this a poor excuse of a post from an overworked college student?", one might ask, hypothetically. Shush, hypothetical asker! And ask that to the various paper deadlines looming overhead.)

Review of the Reviews: My Favorite Posts of 2014

Oh, 2014. You were an interesting year but you have left us for good, never to darken our doors again. Bye now! Don't come back! Actually, 2014 was a very productive year for Nagareboshi Reviews: I managed to post 213 times last year, more than I managed to blog in 2013 - although, considering I was a full-time student in 2013 and an unemployed slacker in 2014 probably accounts for the difference in post count.

It seems appropriate to look back at Nagareboshi Reviews during 2014 and pick my favorite posts of the year! I'll split the list up into two sections: reviews and meta/commentary. Flashback Friday, anyone?

I am often surprised when a hentai manga has a halfway decent story. A lot of hentai – and I do mean a lot – use whatever dredges of a storyline they muster up to hang a lot of smut on. And I'm not here to argue that Knock Me Up is a piece of fine literature in the world of manga, because that would be a foolish errand. But it manages to be smutty and sweet at the same time and deliver a rather amusing story that would make for a decent non-H manga by itself.

NSFW PR: Project H Has Big Plans For Anime Expo 2014

Hentai fans planning to attend Anime Expo 2014 in Los Angeles, CA, rejoice: Project-H is going to be there, and they are planning quite a big bash for their fans. Let's just say that I am so jealous of everyone going to the Expo this year.

Other publishers just run panels and have merchandise booths. Project-H is stepping up their convention game with a late night hentai festival. The details as of now are rather vague, but girls, games, and prizes galore have been promised so far. If you've seen the kind of things that this DMP imprint gives out online (stress relief toys anyone?), you'll know that the prizes are probably going to be legendary - and very, very naughty. Someone score me one of their glasses, though!

Keep in mind, as the flyer says, this festival will be open only to those who are eighteen years of age or older. So don't forget to bring your photo I.D. - and, judging by the time it's being run, an energy drink!

What time is it? It's . . . Fujoshi O'Clock, the biweekly feature at Nagareboshi Review, when I bring to you the latest fujoshi-related news and reviews and various shiny BL-flavored things. Why? Because rotten girls need love too!

• Viz's BL manga line SuBLime has a new title out: NIGHTS by Kou Yoneda, a mature-rated collection of stories.
• Fantagraphics announces a new license, the erotic anthology Massive, which had been previously licensed by PictureBox Inc. It features yaoi manga-ka such as Gengoroh Tagame, well known for his bara work.
• Oguie Maniax's Fujoshi Files is nearly in the nineties with its two latest entries: Yamada Moe of Princess Ringo's Adventures in "Wota" Land and srhshr of gdgd Fairies.

• Fandom Post reviews Hot Space Cowboys, a hentai anime release also known as Legend of the Blue Wolves, which is a surprisingly layered sci-fi yaoi title.

First of all, forgive me: how does one review a hentai manga? I suppose like any other manga - but hentai's main purpose is to get one's rocks off, and I usually don't review materials like that. Still, for Project-H and the efforts of manga-ka Zukiki, I shall do my best!

PR: New Manga Licenses From Project-H

Digital Manga Publishing' hentai imprint, Project-H, has recently announced via Twitter and Facebook a goodly amount of new manga licenses - eleven of them, to be precise. The manga-ka represented include Rumi Matsunami, Nikusoukyu, and Shinobu. Naturally, the covers and titles of these books are NSFW. You can find the details and some of the covers below, behind the 'read more' jump.

As of now, all eleven titles are print-only. DMP is currently working on getting digital rights for these titles; I'm sure a lot of people would rather be reading these on their iPad/Kindle while on the bus than be holding the actual book, yeah?

PR: New Licenses From Project H!

New news from DMP (Digital Manga Publishers) is always good - and when it's hentai news, that's even better. Just me? That's cool. Anyway, DMP announced through their Twitter page their latest mature title acquisitions and below the jump is the full list, complete with some very NSFW covers. But then it wouldn't be Project H if it wasn't!

There are four titles being released, all with a 18+ rating and without a clear release date. However, it's good to see all four titles shall be available via print and digital means. Goodness knows I need more manga on my Kindle Fire! As it looks, they are all one-shots.
